Щороку у серпні земляни мають змогу спостерігати за одним із найяскравіших зорепадів – Персеїди. У ніч з 12 на 13 серпня відбувся пік зорепаду, у цей час метеоритний дощ був особливо видовищним.
Якщо ви раптом пропустили це дивовижне явище, то 24 канал зібрав найяскравіші фото та відео зорепаду Персеїди, що публікували користувачі соцмереж.
Період активності зорепаду – приблизно з 23 липня до 22 серпня. При цьому найбільш активний, а відтак і найбільш видовищний, метеоритний потік 8 до 14 серпня. Пік припадає на ніч з 12 на 13 серпня.
Цікавий факт, Персеїди – одне із найдавніше зафіксованих космічних явищ. Найпершу згадку про Персеїди датують 36 роком нашої ери в китайському літописі. Також Персеїди часто згадували в японських і корейських літописах.
В Європі Персеїди називали "Сльозами святого Лаврентія", на честь фестивалю святого Лаврентія, який відбувається в Італії 10 серпня.
